HACO Industries, in partnership with Centum Real Estate, proudly contributed land for the Elmer One Project, an affordable housing development in Kasarani. The project honors the vision of the late Dr. Chris Kirubi, former Chairman of both companies, to provide accessible homes for Nairobi residents. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on 27th September 2021, officiated by Charles Hinga – PS for Housing and Urban Development, alongside Prof. Mutahi Ngunyi – Technical Assistant to H.E. the President, and Mary-Ann Musangi – MD, HACO Industries.
The initiative aligns with the Government of Kenya’s Big 4 Agenda, recognizing the critical need for affordable housing. With urban centers facing a deficit of over 2 million homes and land costs being a major barrier, Elmer One addresses this gap by providing quality, accessible homes for employees, civil servants, and the broader community. Strategically located near the Thika Super Highway, Elmer One offers easy access for commuters and is ideal for HACO staff and senior civil servants, who can purchase through the Civil Servant Mortgage Scheme or State Officers Mortgage Scheme.
