HACO Industries recently welcomed 95 business owners from the Strathmore Business School and Lagos Business School Owner Managers Programme for an immersive learning visit focused on African manufacturing, FMCG innovation, and business leadership. The return of a second cohort reflects growing interest in HACO’s journey as a homegrown manufacturer that has built trusted consumer brands while navigating growth, quality, innovation, and market expansion across East Africa.
The Owner Managers Programme brings together established entrepreneurs and business leaders seeking practical insights into building sustainable and scalable enterprises. During their visit, participants engaged with HACO Industries’ leadership team to explore the company’s evolution from a local enterprise into one of East Africa’s leading FMCG manufacturers. Discussions centered on strategic decision-making, innovation, operational excellence, market expansion, and the leadership principles that have enabled HACO to remain competitive in a dynamic consumer goods industry.
A key highlight of the visit was a guided tour of HACO Industries’ manufacturing facilities, where delegates gained first-hand insight into the systems, technologies, and production processes behind some of the region’s most trusted consumer brands. The experience showcased modern manufacturing practices, quality assurance systems, supply chain management, and the operational efficiencies that underpin sustainable business growth and manufacturing excellence.
By combining classroom learning with real-world business exposure, the visit gave participants valuable perspectives on how strong operational foundations, continuous innovation, and effective leadership contribute to long-term success in the FMCG sector and the wider African manufacturing landscape.
